Rotate PDF pages

Turn the whole document, or just the pages that came out sideways.

About rotating

All left and All right turn every page at once, which is what you want for a document scanned the wrong way up. The arrow on an individual page turns only that one, for the odd landscape table in an otherwise portrait file.

The rotation is stored as the page's own orientation rather than by redrawing anything, so the result is exactly as sharp as the original and the text stays selectable. Viewers and printers both honour it.

Nothing is uploaded. Your file is opened by WebAssembly inside this browser tab and never leaves it.

Rotating pages: common questions

How do I rotate just one page instead of the whole document?
Use the arrow on that page’s thumbnail. The All left and All right buttons turn every page at once, which is what you want for a document scanned the wrong way up.
Is the rotation permanent, and will other viewers honour it?
Yes. The turn is written as the page’s own orientation in the PDF, which every viewer and printer reads. It is not a view setting that only looks right on one screen.
Does rotating a page lose any quality?
None at all. Nothing is redrawn or re-compressed; only the page’s orientation flag changes, so the result is identical to the original except for which way up it sits.
Why does my PDF open sideways in the first place?
Usually the scanner or the phone that produced it recorded the wrong orientation, or a landscape table was fed through a portrait scanner. The page content is fine; only the orientation flag is wrong, which is exactly what this fixes.
